Audio Engineer, Sound Designer, and Audio Programmer.
Miguel Moreno is a freelance sound designer, audio programmer, and one half of the experimental music duo DEHUS.
He studied music production and engineering at the Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education, Monterrey campus, and got his initial audio engineering experiences by volunteering at BHD Studios and Arturia. There he was involved in the sound editing for several latin-american films, the beta testing for Arturia’s V Collection 5, and the development of a drum sampler prototype for the BeatStep Pro.
After graduating, Miguel became the Lead Audio Programmer for Moon Echo Audio, where he is currently developing a fully synthesized drum machine.
In 2018, he worked as a sound designer and programmer for some interactive art installations presented at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Monterrey.
Presently, Miguel is working on a library of synthesized instruments and sounds made for Pure Data vanilla. These range from electric pianos and acoustic drums to waterfalls and dog barks.
